Liaison lecturers
The liaison lectureres at the department of physics are mediators in case of conflicts between students and persons involved in teaching tasks, examination boards, examination office or other students.
They are contact persons for students of all physics programs. In general, they won't solve problems directly themselves but rather give good advice and, if necessary, recommend suitable contacts and positions, which can be e.g. the psycho-social guidance, the anti-discrimination office, the equal opportunity commissioners , the course guidance etc. The liaison lecturers will try to give objective advice and to bring in their subjective views as outsiders or lecturers. The liaison lecturers do not replace the other advisory bodies, especially the course guidance.
Conversations between the liaison lecturers and the affected person are, if not otherwise agreed, liable to the confidentiality and must be treated as confidential. The liaison lecturers are elected every year. Reelection is possible.
