Course registration & Exam application

Please register for the course you plan to attend in the current term. Note that the registration is mandatory for the lab courses and the course on Advanced Theoretical Physics.

Registration for courses in KLIPS

Please have a look at our detailed guidelines for the usage of KLIPS. Note that which modules you choose for registration has no effect on your final choice for primary area of specialization, secondary area of specialization, etc. 

Registration for the lab courses (within the modules Practical Training I & II)

Students do not register via KLIPS for the lab courses. Please refer to the Mandatory Part for the registration for the different lab courses. 

For Cologne students: Registration for courses in Bonn

In Bonn, students have to register via the platform eCampus, which is the sister system to Cologne's ILIAS. Please note that the BCGS office in Cologne arranges for the respective student accounts in Bonn for all new MSc students in Cologne. To get your account data, please contact the BCGS office.

Note, that it usually takes around four weeks before the accounts are available. In the meantime, new students can access the eCampus courses via the respective ILIAS interface. This is how Cologne students can register for courses in Bonn with their Cologne student-ID until they receive their student account in Bonn. For the list of courses log in to ILIAS and go to “Kurse von Partnerhochschulen” (courses from partner universities).

For Bonn students: Registration for courses in Cologne

As of now, students from Bonn cannot register via KLIPS. To register for courses in Cologne, please make use of the eCampus/ILIAS-interface. I.e. Bonn students can register for courses in Cologne with their Bonn student-ID in eCampus. Thus, log in to eCampus and look for the courses from partner universities.
