APS fellowship for Yoichi Ando

Yoichi Ando has been elected as a Fellow of the American Physical Society "For ground-breaking experiments on quantum materials, especially high-Tc cuprate superconductors, topological insulators, and topological superconductors". We congratulate Yoichi Ando for this highly prestiguous
recognition of his work.

Yoichi Ando joined the University of Cologne as a professor in 2015 and works at the Institute of Physics II as an experimental physicist. His research focuses on topological insulators and superconductors, aiming at the creation of topological Majorana states as building blocks for future quantum computers.
